We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Manager / Senior Manager – Miller (Factory Head) to lead the overall operations of a flour milling factory. The position will be responsible for production planning, milling operations, manpower management, quality, maintenance coordination, efficiency improvement, and ensuring smooth and uninterrupted factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the overall operation of the flour milling factory.
- Supervise the complete milling process, including wheat intake, cleaning, conditioning, milling, blending, and flour packing.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality and minimizing wastage.
- Monitor mill performance, extraction rate, production efficiency, and raw material utilization.
- Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
- Ensure proper operation and performance of milling machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance, Quality Control, Warehouse, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene, and factory safety standards.
- Analyze production losses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage and develop factory manpower, including shift planning and workforce allocation.
- Maintain proper production records, reports, and operational documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce operational costs, and optimize machine performance.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and implementation of 5S practices within the factory.
- Handle operational issues and take timely decisions to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable food manufacturing standards.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management regarding production, efficiency, wastage, and factory performance.
- Experience: 8 years
- Education: bachelor of science in mechanical engineering
