- Manage ocean freight pricing and procurement for import and export shipments.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates, surcharges, free time, space, and commercial terms with shipping lines, NVOCCs, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
- Maintain strong relationships with major shipping lines and develop a well-connected network of NVOCCs and co-loaders.
- Prepare and maintain competitive rate structures, contracts, and quotations.
- Monitor ocean freight market trends, carrier rates, capacity, and trade lanes.
- Provide timely pricing support for sales, RFQs, tenders, and key accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and support revenue and profitability growth.
- Coordinate with Operations and Sales to ensure smooth shipment execution and customer satisfaction.
- Handle commercial negotiations, carrier-related issues, and escalations.
- Analyze pricing, procurement performance, and market opportunities.
- Guide and support the pricing/procurement team as required.
- Experience: 8-10 years
- Education: bachelor of business administration (bba)
- Skills: ocean freight, ocean transportation, freight brokerage, freight forwarding, shipment coordination, import logistics, wholesale operations, ship management, freight transportation
