Manager – Marketing & Sales/ Forwarding

Role Description The Manager – Marketing & Sales/Forwarding is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka. This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies to grow the forwarding business, including identifying new clients, nurturing existing accounts, and expanding market presence. Day-to-day tasks include managing client inquiries, preparing and negotiating quotations, coordinating with operations and documentation teams, and ensuring that forwarding activities meet client requirements and service standards. The manager will track market trends, analyze competitors, prepare reports and forecasts, and contribute to pricing and promotion decisions. The role also involves building strong relationships with carriers, agents, and other stakeholders, representing the company in meetings, and supporting continuous improvement in service quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

• Strong background in marketing and sales within logistics, freight forwarding, or related industries, with proven ability to generate and manage business opportunities.
• Solid understanding of freight forwarding processes, international trade practices, shipping documentation, and coordination with carriers and agents.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Analytical skills for market research, sales forecasting, and performance reporting, including proficiency with common office and CRM tools.
• Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration abilities, with strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple accounts and priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications or relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a managerial role in logistics or forwarding, preferably in Dhaka or similar markets, and familiarity with local and international regulations.
