Malik Seeds is building its HR function from the ground up — and this role leads that effort. The HR Manager owns the company's full HR mandate: building the systems that govern how Malik Seeds hires, develops, and takes care of its people. This is not a operate role. It is a build role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR Transformation Across the Organization
- Lead HR's role in company-wide change initiatives — from restructuring and grading revisions to new systems rollouts — ensuring people, process, and communication move together
- Build the internal communication and buy-in strategy for major HR shifts, so changes land as intentional progress rather than disruption
- Team Leadership & Department Building
- Lead and develop the HR team — currently three people across Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition & Performance, and Learning & Culture Development
- Set clear ownership and accountability across the three HR pillars, and coach each team member toward greater independence and capability
- Performance Management & KPI Systems
- Design and implement a company-wide performance management system, including individual KPIs & OKRs aligned to department & company goals, and lead the annual and quarterly review cycles
- Establish a genuine feedback culture — regular, constructive, two-way — rather than a once-a-year formality
- HR Systems, Policy & Digitalization
- Implement HR systems and processes, including HRIS, dashboards, and analytics, moving the department from manual tracking to structured reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly HR dashboards for management, flagging workforce risks and recommending action
- Recruitment Strategy & Execution
- Build a faster, more structured recruitment process — from requisition to offer — with clear timelines and accountability for the sales force, R&D, and corporate leadership roles
- Own our Future Leader Program and university partnerships, keeping the graduate pipeline active year-round
- Onboarding & Structured Growth Paths
- Design and implement structured onboarding for both corporate employees and field force, ensuring every new hire has a consistent first-90-days experience
- Support the employee classification and grading structure — job evaluation, career progression paths, and promotion criteria
- Partner with department heads on succession planning for key positions
- Training & Development
- Own the company's overall training and development strategy — from identifying skill gaps to designing an annual training calendar aligned to business priorities
- Build capability across the organization through a mix of internal training, external programs, and professional development opportunities
- Experience: 5-10 years
- Education: bachelor of business administration in human resource management
