Project Brief:

In partnership with Educate A Child (EAC) under the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, BRAC is implementing a four-year project, "Inclusive Pathways for Learning and Resilience in Bangladesh," which is dedicated to reintegrating 76,000 out-of-school children across 12 districts in Bangladesh into the mainstream education system. By utilizing an accelerated primary learning model, the project prioritizes girls and children with disabilities in high-dropout, high-poverty, climate-vulnerable areas, addressing the root causes of exclusion through a holistic approach. This strategy integrates foundational education with essential health services, including nutrition, vision, and hygiene support, while empowering 15,000 youth to spearhead climate resilience actions. Together, these efforts create a community-driven ecosystem that ensures the next generation can recover their education and lead their communities toward a more sustainable and resilient future.

Job Purpose:

This position will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of technical and operational activities of the project activities by managing a multi-layered field structure, including Divisional Managers, Upazila Managers, and Programme Organisers. The primary objective is to provide leadership in maintaining quality and transparency at the scale of overall field operations of the project while enrolling out-of-school, dropout, and never-enrolled children into the BRAC education system as per the project plan and supporting their transition and mainstreaming into the national education system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical direction and operational oversight for all field-based activities, ensuring that all activities are implemented according to project timelines
• Prepare operational work plans aligned with the project log frame, targets, timelines, and approved budget, ensuring effective and timely implementation of activities.
• Supervise field teams by providing regular coaching, mentoring, and performance monitoring
• Maintain strong coordination with local government authorities (Upazila level UNO, Upazila Primary Education Officers, District Primary Education Officers, influential community leaders, parents’ group, local education institutions) to support project implementation.
• Oversee administrative and logistical arrangements, including preparation and coordination for donor and stakeholder visits.
• Ensure efficient use of project resources and compliance with approved budgets and operational procedures.
• Coordinate procurement and distribution of quality learning materials and supplies for schools and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, beneficiary data, and operational records.
• Support the preparation of periodic progress reports and contribute to donor reporting requirements.
• Work closely with the MEAL team to monitor and assess learning environments across project locations, identifying gaps and supporting timely corrective actions.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational requirements:

Master's Degree in Management/Education/Social Science/Development Studies/Public Administration/International Relations or any other related subject

Experience requirements:

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in field operation of Education sector specially manage/lead the field operations

Additional Requirements:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across diverse contexts.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing training modules, workshops, short courses, and other learning interventions.
• Proven ability to facilitate and lead training sessions, workshops, meetings, and group discussions.
