Job Purpose: The role responsible for governing and driving the organization’s DevOps strategy through the implementation of scalable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud operations, and operational excellence practices. The role ensures efficient collaboration between development, operations, security, and infrastructure teams by establishing standardized DevOps frameworks, governance controls, and automation best practices. The position also oversees platform reliability, deployment efficiency, system scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives to accelerate software delivery while maintaining security, stability, and performance across the technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own the overall DevOps strategy, roadmap, and adoption plan aligned with organizational technology goals and software delivery objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical direction, career guidance, and performance oversight.
• Establish and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, toolchain selection, and process frameworks across all teams and projects.
• Architect, implement, and oversee end-to-end CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, security scanning, and deployment processes across all environments.
• Define pipeline standards including branching strategies, environment promotion workflows, approval gates, and rollback mechanisms.
• Oversee multi-environment infrastructure management including development, staging, UAT, and production ensuring consistency and environment parity.
• Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives by identifying waste, rightsizing resources, and implementing tagging and governance policies.
• Define and implement a comprehensive observability strategy covering metrics, logs, traces, and alerting across all infrastructure and application layers.
• Oversee the deployment and governance of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, or equivalent platforms.
• Integrate security practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle by embedding automated security scanning, secret management, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define autoscaling strategies for compute, containerized workloads, and database tiers to handle variable traffic patterns efficiently.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Agile methodologies, containerization, Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, observability, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, GitOps, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar platforms.
• Proven expertise in infrastructure automation, deployment management, cloud platforms, DevOps governance, and operational reliability.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead cross-Results-oriented with strategic thinking, leadership, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Educational Requirements: Bachelors in CSE/ IT or equivalent from any reputed educational institute.

Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations with hands-on expertise in CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native technologies.
