- HR & Compliance related major responsibilities:
- Should have sound knowledge on Labor Law-2006 as amended in 2015, Factories Act-1979, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Law-2003 and ILO Convention Relevant on RMG sector in Bangladesh.
- Develop and implement HR policies tailored to factory-level operations and workforce needs.
- Foster a positive and disciplined work environment on the factory floor.
- Address and resolve grievances from factory workers and staff efficiently.
- Admin related major responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth operations of all factory’s administrative functions, including utilities, maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Establish and enforce protocols for managing factory emergencies, including fire, natural disasters, and industrial accidents.
- Monitor and control factory-related administrative budgets and expenses.
- Compliance related major responsibilities:
- Ensure the factory complies with all labor laws, safety regulations, and international compliance standards (e.g., RSC, BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX).
- Conduct regular internal audits of factory processes to identify and address compliance gaps.
- Communicate with ACCORD/RSC, BGMEA/BKMEA, Compliance Auditors, Fire & Civil Defense Department, Labor Office, Labor Court, Police Station, Local Influences and Labor Federation etc.
- Liaise with external auditors, buyers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance readiness.
- Experience: 10-15 years
- Education:
- Skills: hr compliance, labor law compliance, compliance and labor laws, labour laws knowledge, employment law compliance, labor law knowledge, labor laws knowledge, garment industry knowledge, legal compliance knowledge, hr policies and procedures
