Role Purpose

Blackboard Strategies is looking for a Account Management professional who can go beyond traditional client servicing and take ownership of client relationships, strategic thinking, business growth and end-to-end project delivery.

The role will manage a diverse portfolio of brands across sectors including FMCG, financial services, education, technology, agro/feed, real estate and corporate categories. The candidate will work across retainer accounts, ad-hoc projects, integrated campaigns and new business pitches, coordinating closely with Strategy, Creative, Digital, Media and Production teams.

We are looking for someone who can understand a client's business problem, translate it into a strong communication brief, drive the internal team towards the right solution and ensure quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned client accounts and act as a key contact between clients and the agency.
• Understand the client's business, category, competitors, consumers and marketing objectives - not just individual communication requirements.
• Convert client requirements and business problems into clear, actionable creative, strategy, digital, media and production briefs.
• Develop strong client relationships and proactively identify communication and business opportunities.
• Lead regular client meetings, work-in-progress meetings, campaign reviews and presentations.
• Coordinate with Creative, Strategy, Digital, Media, Production, Finance and other internal teams for seamless delivery.
• Develop timelines, assign responsibilities and follow through until final execution.
• Maintain rigorous quality control across client deliverables, feedback and approved communication.
• Manage multiple retainers, ad-hoc and campaign projects simultaneously while maintaining delivery quality.
• Support annual, quarterly and campaign-level communication planning for assigned brands.
• Contribute actively to new business pitches, market research, competitor analysis and proposal development.
• Identify opportunities for account growth, incremental projects and expanded scopes of work.
• Maintain visibility on account commercials, estimates, work orders, billing status and required documentation.
• Work closely with senior management on priority projects and clients
• Guide and develop junior Account Management team members.
• Ensure commitments made to clients are realistic, commercially viable and delivered within agreed timelines.
