GMS, a state of art and a leading national export trophy winner and one of the largest knit garments manufacturing company in Bangladesh is going to recruit "Management Trainee/ Officer - Accounts & Finance" for Head Office Unit, located in Mohakhali DOHS, Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle local and foreign bill receiving, check Tax/VAT deductions on bank payment vouchers (BPV), calculate applicable rates against invoices.
- Prepare Tax and VAT clearing bank vouchers to deposit deducted amounts into the government exchequer. Process cash advances and post advance settlement entries.
- Conduct monthly cash and bank reconciliations (comparing cash books with ledgers and physical vault balances) and prepare monthly receipt/payment reports.
- Assist with per-costing analysis, inventory reconciliation, and accounting provisions on an accrual basis.
- Compile financial data, verify accuracy, assist with internal/external audits, and build MIS reports using MS Excel and accounting software.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, procurement, and merchandising teams to match buyer requirements and track factory operational performance.
- Others work assigned by the management time to time.
- Experience: 2+ years
- Education: bachelor of business administration in accounting
- Skills: back office operations, garment manufacturing, finance management, garment industry knowledge
