Lingerie Technical Manager

Role Description The Lingerie Technical Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This role oversees the technical development of lingerie products from concept through bulk production, ensuring fit, construction, and quality standards are consistently met. The person in this position will lead pattern and sample reviews, coordinate technical approvals with buyers, and provide guidance to factories on garment engineering, fabric performance, and production methods. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues on the production floor, supporting R&D for new styles, and collaborating closely with merchandising, design, and quality assurance teams. The role also involves managing timelines for technical sign-offs, maintaining technical documentation, and driving continuous improvement in processes to enhance efficiency and product reliability.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret technical specifications, fit comments, and production data, and to make data-driven decisions.
• Proven team management capabilities to lead technical staff, coordinate cross-functional communication, and mentor factory technicians.
• Hands-on experience in technical support for intimate apparel, including pattern correction, fit resolution, and manufacturing troubleshooting.
• Background in research and development (R&D) for lingerie or intimate wear, including new materials, components, and construction techniques.
• Project management skills to oversee multiple styles and seasons, manage critical paths, and ensure on-time technical approvals.
• Extensive technical knowledge of lingerie construction, fabrics, trims, grading, and fit standards for international markets.
• Experience working with large-scale manufacturing operations in Bangladesh or similar apparel hubs is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages in Bangladesh is an advantage.
• Proficiency with relevant CAD/pattern and technical software tools used in lingerie development.
• Degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, Fashion Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Dhaka, Bangladesh and to visit partner factories regularly.
