Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lawyer role based in Bangladesh. The Lawyer will handle case preparation, draft legal documents and opinions, review contracts and agreements, and conduct legal research to support client matters. Daily responsibilities include advising clients, attending meetings, preparing case strategies, and representing clients before courts and tribunals as required. The role involves collaborating with colleagues on complex cases, maintaining accurate case files, and staying current with relevant legislation, regulations, and judicial precedents. The Lawyer is expected to manage multiple matters simultaneously, meet deadlines, and contribute to the firm’s overall practice development.

Qualifications

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret statutes, case law, and regulatory materials effectively.
• Proficiency in drafting pleadings, contracts, legal opinions, and other legal documents with attention to detail and clarity.
• Experience in litigation and/or advisory work, including client counseling, case strategy development, and representation before courts or tribunals.
• Effective communication and advocacy skills, including clear written communication and confident, professional oral presentation.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritize tasks, work under time constraints, and collaborate in a team-based environment.
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized institution; LL.M or additional legal qualifications are an advantage.
• Enrollment as an Advocate with relevant bar authorities in Bangladesh, or eligibility to be enrolled within a reasonable time frame.
• Demonstrated integrity, commitment to ethical practice, and openness to ongoing professional development and training.
