With Lawstronaut, we provide a single API for global laws and regulations—complete texts, structured metadata, and real-time updates—so companies can:

What we are looking for:

A motivated Junior Python Developer who’s ready to learn fast, take ownership, and help us build the world’s largest crawler of legal data.

Experience: 1–2 years of professional Python coding (internships, projects, or junior roles all count) Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

As a Junior Python Developer, you’ll join an experienced team building large-scale crawling systems that process millions of records. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, strengthen your coding skills, and gain hands-on exposure to AI and data-intensive systems.Key Responsibilities

Development & Support

• Write clean, maintainable Python code for crawlers and data pipelines
• Build scrapers using Scrapy, Selenium, or Playwright
• Debug and improve crawler performance

Collaboration

• Work with senior developers to translate requirements into code
• Document your work clearly and simply
• Participate in sprint planning and code reviews

Learning & Growth

• Learn how to scale distributed systems
• Gain exposure to AI/ML workflows and data processing
• Develop strong professional engineering practices (testing, reviews, agile)

What we’re looking for

• Experience coding in Python (1–2 years, professional or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, HTTP)
• Interest in web crawling, automation, and data engineering
• Ability to pick up new tools quickly (Scrapy, Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
• Team player with clear communication skills

Nice to have (not required)

• Familiarity with databases (MongoDB, Redis)
• Interest in cloud tools (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Django, FastAPI, or similar frameworks
