Job Summary
The Junior Merchandiser (Fabric) will support the merchandising team in handling export orders and fabric-related activities. The role involves assisting with fabric sourcing, product development, sampling, costing, order follow-up, documentation, and coordination with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the merchandising team in handling export orders according to buyer requirements.
- Support fabric sourcing based on product and order requirements.
- Communicate with suppliers and mills regarding fabric availability, price, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Assist in collecting fabric samples, lab dips, swatches, and other required materials.
- Follow up on fabric sampling and approval status.
- Assist in preparing basic costing and maintaining costing-related information.
- Maintain regular follow-up on fabric orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with sourcing, production, quality, and other relevant departments as required.
- Assist in communicating order requirements and updates to suppliers and internal teams.
- Maintain proper records of fabric details, samples, approvals, orders, and follow-up status.
- Monitor the progress of assigned tasks and report any delays or issues to the senior merchandiser or reporting manager.
- Support the team in ensuring the required quality, quantity, price, and delivery timelines are maintained.
- Perform other merchandising-related tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years
- Education: Bachelor's/Honors degree in any relevant discipline.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of Fabric Merchandising, Fabric Sourcing , Sampling & Follow-up , Basic Costing , Order Follow-up , Supplier Coordination , Communication, Documentation , Microsoft Office , Time Management , Attention to Detail , Teamwork & Coordination
