Role Description The Joint Director (Program & Financial Analysis – Micro Finance) is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This position is responsible for overseeing program performance and conducting detailed financial analysis for DSK’s microfinance operations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing portfolio quality, monitoring financial indicators, and preparing analytical reports for senior leadership and donors. The role involves designing and refining financial models, supporting annual budgeting and planning, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The Joint Director will collaborate with program teams to align operational strategies with financial sustainability, assess risks, and recommend data-driven improvements to microfinance products and services.
Qualifications

• Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and supporting strategic decision-making.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and preparing comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and program data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CFA) are an advantage.
• Experience in microfinance, development finance, or financial services, preferably with a focus on community-based or NGO-led programs.
• Strong command of spreadsheet and financial analysis tools; familiarity with financial management software is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and communicate complex financial information in a clear, accessible manner.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, transparency, and the social mission of inclusive finance.
