Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Japanese Translator role located in Dhaka. The translator will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate written materials such as product documentation, internal communications, marketing content, and operational guidelines between Japanese and English. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with company terminology and style, as well as revising and updating existing translated materials. The role involves interpreting during meetings or calls with Japanese-speaking colleagues and partners when needed, and supporting clear communication between teams in Dhaka and counterparts in Japan or Osaka. The translator will also help maintain glossaries, translation memory, and communication standards to improve consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Japanese Translation, including Japanese to English and general Translation for business and technical content.
• Ability to perform Interpreting in meetings and discussions, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive communication.
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with local and international teams and explaining nuances in language and meaning.
• High level of proficiency in written and spoken Japanese and English, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working in a corporate or food industry environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Dhaka and manage multiple translation tasks and deadlines.
• Familiarity with translation tools or software and basic documentation practices.
• Relevant academic background or professional certification in translation, linguistics, or language studies is preferred.
