Responsibilities and Context:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, project budgets and rate analyses for interior fit-out, furniture, and construction projects.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural, structural, interior and MEP drawings.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to identify the complete scope of work.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate closely with the Design, Procurement, Project Management, Accounts and Site teams regarding project costing and commercial requirements.
• Prepare and maintain Variation Orders (VO), Work Orders, revised BOQs and project cost reports.
• Monitor project expenditures, material consumption and cost variations against approved budgets.
• Maintain and regularly update the database of material prices, labor rates, subcontractor rates, and market rates.
• Assist management with project costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Review subcontractor and supplier bills against approved BOQs, work orders, and actual quantities where required.
• Ensure all BOQs, estimates and commercial documents comply with project specifications, drawings and company standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and records related to project costing, procurement and commercial activities.

Requirements:

• Experience: 2-5 years
• Education: Bachelor’s or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Interior Design or a related discipline
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes and market rates for interior works.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in interior fit-out or construction projects will be highly preferred.
