Interior Designer / Design Consultant – Remote/Hybrid

This is a full-time primarily remote position.

The selected candidate will:

• Work primarily from home.
• Come to the KS Design office approximately 2–3 days per week for meetings, design reviews, coordination, and follow-ups.
• Remain available for regular communication with the team through phone and digital communication.
• Visit client sites when required.
• Receive separate TA/DA for approved client-site visits.
• Be responsible for completing assigned work within agreed deadlines regardless of the remote work arrangement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in interior design, architecture, furniture, or a closely related industry.
• Educational background in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural and interior design principles.
• Good understanding of space planning and furniture layouts.
• Strong creative and conceptual design ability.
• Knowledge of both modern and traditional/classical design styles.
• Awareness of current interior design trends and materials.
• Ability to understand customized client requirements.
• Good visual sense, proportion, color, material, and aesthetic understanding.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a primarily remote environment.
• Must be responsive and available for regular communication with the team during working hours.

Software Skills

Proficiency in relevant interior design and architectural software will be expected, such as:

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• 3ds Max / V-Ray / Corona or equivalent
• Revit or other BIM software
• Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning to create functional, aesthetic layouts.
• Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings to communicate design intent clearly to project and factory teams.
• Experience with FF&E selection, including custom furniture, fixtures, and equipment tailored to project needs.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to translate client requirements into practical design solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in residential or commercial interiors in Bangladesh is an advantage.
