Position: Interior Design & 3D/CAD Project Coordinator

About NRJ Enterprise

NRJ Enterprise is an established business with a background in the garments sector and is now expanding into residential interior design, home renovation, landscaping and creative concept development.

Our new design division will focus primarily on personal homes and residential projects, developing practical, modern and innovative solutions — from the initial concept and space planning through to detailed drawings, material selection and on-site implementation.

We are looking for a talented, creative and practical Interior Design & 3D/CAD Project Coordinator to work closely with the CEO and become an important part of developing this new business division.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary position for someone who can take an idea or rough concept and turn it into a professional, practical and buildable design.

The successful candidate will work directly with the CEO, helping develop design concepts, prepare CAD drawings and 3D visualisations, visit project sites, coordinate with engineers and contractors, understand materials and assist in taking projects from concept to reality.

We are looking for someone who combines creative thinking with practical construction knowledge.

You should be comfortable both behind a computer developing designs and on-site dealing with real-world construction challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interior Design & Concept Development

* Develop creative and practical interior concepts for residential homes.

* Prepare space planning, furniture layouts and interior design proposals.

* Develop concepts for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, dining areas and other spaces.

* Develop renovation and redesign concepts for existing homes.

* Find innovative solutions for challenging or compact spaces.

* Prepare mood boards, material concepts, colour schemes and design presentations.

* Work closely with the CEO to develop and refine design concepts.

2. CAD & Technical Drawing

* Prepare accurate 2D CAD drawings and technical layouts.

* Develop floor plans, elevations, sections and detailed drawings.

* Prepare ceiling, flooring, wall treatment, furniture and other interior details.

* Produce drawings that can be understood and implemented by engineers and contractors.

* Take site measurements and convert existing conditions into accurate drawings.

* Revise drawings based on client requirements and site conditions.

3. 3D Design & Visualisation

* Develop professional 3D models and realistic visualisations.

* Convert 2D plans and concepts into high-quality 3D presentations.

* Produce interior and exterior views for client presentations.

* Explore different materials, finishes, lighting, furniture and design options.

* Present design ideas in a clear and visually convincing manner.

4. Site Visits & Project Coordination

* Attend residential project sites and assess existing conditions.

* Conduct measurements and document site requirements.

* Work with architects, engineers, contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and other specialists.

* Coordinate design requirements with site teams.

* Identify practical construction issues and develop workable solutions.

* Follow up on design implementation to ensure the intended concept is properly executed.

* Report important site observations and project developments to the CEO.

5. Building Materials & Practical Construction Knowledge

The candidate should have a good understanding of real-world construction and finishing materials, including:

* Tiles, marble, granite and stone

* Wood, plywood, MDF and laminates

* Glass and metal

* Paint and wall finishes

* Wallpaper and decorative materials

* Lighting and electrical fittings

* Sanitary ware and bathroom fittings

* Kitchen materials and hardware

* Doors, windows and architectural hardware

* Furniture and built-in solutions

The candidate should be able to understand how materials are used, how they are installed and how design decisions affect cost, durability and execution.

6. Landscaping & Outdoor Design

* Develop basic residential landscaping concepts.

* Prepare landscape layouts and 3D visualisations.

* Assist with concepts for gardens, pathways, outdoor seating, lighting and other external areas.

* Understand basic practical requirements for residential landscaping.

* Coordinate with landscape contractors and specialists when required.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

Creative + Practical + Technical + Hands-On

The ideal candidate should have:

* Proven experience in interior design, architectural drafting, CAD and/or 3D visualisation.

* Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.

* Strong working knowledge of one or more 3D design/rendering platforms such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray or similar.

* Good understanding of residential interior design and space planning.

* Practical knowledge of construction and building materials.

* Experience working with engineers, contractors and site teams.

* Experience or strong interest in residential landscaping.

* Excellent visual sense and attention to detail.

* Strong problem-solving skills.

* Innovative and practical approach to design.

* Ability to convert an idea into a professional and buildable solution.

* Good communication and coordination skills.

* Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned projects.

A Very Important Requirement

We are not looking for someone who only creates attractive computer-generated designs.

The successful candidate should understand the difference between:

“A design that looks good on the screen”

and

“A design that can actually be built successfully in the real world.”

Practical knowledge of construction, materials, measurements, site conditions and execution will therefore be highly valued.

Someone who can look at a problem on-site and say “There must be a better way to do this” will be particularly suited to this position.

Education & Experience

* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology or a related field is preferred.

* Relevant professional experience will be considered more important than qualifications alone.

* Candidates with strong practical experience and an impressive portfolio are encouraged to apply.

* Experience in residential renovation, interior projects, architectural drafting or landscaping will be an advantage.
