About the Company
C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operations & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located in Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited.
As the designated O&M contractor, the company is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation of the power plant. To support its growing operational requirements, C&H Power Management Company Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of I&C Engineer.
Position Summary
The I&C Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, and optimization of instrumentation and control systems within the power plant. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safe operation of all control and automation systems associated with thermal power generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and control systems.
- Ensure the proper functioning of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and other automation systems.
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for instrumentation equipment.
- Perform calibration, testing, and commissioning of field instruments, transmitters, analyzers, sensors, actuators, and control valves.
- Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to minimize plant downtime.
- Support plant operations by ensuring accurate measurement, monitoring, and control of critical process parameters.
- Prepare maintenance reports, calibration records, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve plant performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, technical specifications, and company standards.
- Participate in plant shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance activities.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university,
OR
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as an I&C Engineer in a coal-based thermal power plant.
- Strong experience in instrumentation maintenance, control systems, and industrial automation.
- Practical knowledge of DCS, PLC, field instrumentation, and process control systems.
- Experience in large-scale thermal power generation facilities will be highly preferred.
- Experience working in supercritical thermal power plants will be considered an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, control logic diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Understanding of plant safety regulations and maintenance standards.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a shift-based operational environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Monthly Salary Package
- Basic Salary: BDT 1,70,000/-
- Other Allowances: BDT 30,000/-
- Total Gross Monthly Salary: BDT 2,00,000/-
