Company Description Petrola Trading Corporation Limited, established in 1986, is a Dhaka-based trading firm representing international manufacturers and suppliers in Bangladesh. The company participates in public sector international and electronic tenders and also serves private sector clients through direct quotations and negotiation. Petrola specializes in heavy and earthmoving machinery, including road construction, port, and material handling equipment, supported by a strong after-sales team. As an exclusive dealer for several renowned West European equipment brands, Petrola has secured numerous contracts with key government departments and private organizations. The company is also active in import/export, commodity trading, and the supply of contraceptives for national family planning programs.

Role Description This is a part-time, hybrid Heavy / Earthmoving Machinery Marketing role based in Dhaka, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role focuses on promoting heavy and earthmoving machinery, supporting sales efforts with targeted marketing activities, and strengthening brand visibility among public and private sector clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing marketing materials and presentations for equipment lines, assisting in tender-related marketing documentation, and coordinating with foreign principals to align product positioning and messaging. The role also involves conducting market research on infrastructure and development projects, maintaining contact lists for key stakeholders, and supporting digital and offline campaigns to generate leads. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with sales and after-sales teams to highlight equipment capabilities and ensure consistent communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong marketing and promotional skills related to industrial or heavy equipment, with experience in B2B or project-based sales environments.
• Candidates should possess abilities in market research, data gathering, and analysis to identify opportunities in road, port, and infrastructure projects.
• Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing proposals, presentations, and customer-facing materials.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with basic office and productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and familiarity with online communication platforms.
• Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple marketing activities in a part-time, hybrid setting.
• Candidates should ideally have prior experience in heavy machinery, construction equipment, or industrial products marketing; experience with public sector tenders is an advantage.
• A relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with a willingness to learn about technical product features.
