Head of Technology

Simpaisa is hiring for a Head of Technology in Bangladesh who will be responsible for defining and executing the organization's technology strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective technology operations aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

·       Define and execute the overall technology strategy and roadmap.

·       Lead technology teams across infrastructure, cloud, software engineering, security, and IT operations.

·       Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability of technology platforms.

·       Manage cloud infrastructure, architecture, networks, databases, and critical systems.

·       Establish and maintain technology governance, standards, policies, and best practices.

·       Drive cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives.

·       Oversee technology vendors, third-party services, contracts, and technology budgets.

·       Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and digital transformation.

·       Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and security requirements.

·       Work closely with senior leadership and business teams to translate business requirements into technology solutions.

·       Lead major technology projects, migrations, integrations, and infrastructure improvements.

·       Monitor technology performance, incidents, capacity, and operational risks.

·       Build, mentor, and develop high-performing technology teams.

·       Establish KPIs and continuously improve technology operations and service delivery.

Key Skills & Experience

·       Strong leadership and technology management experience.

·       Experience with private cloud platforms

·       Strong understanding of cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, databases, and software architecture.

·       Experience with high-availability and scalable systems.

·       Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, BCP, and DR.

·       Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills.

·       Strategic thinking with strong business and technical understanding.

·       Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

Typical Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

·       Relevant professional certifications in cloud, cybersecurity, IT governance, or technology management are an advantage.

• Typically 2+ years of technology experience, including significant leadership/management experience.
