Key Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with export production and buyer requirements.
  • Integrate procurement, planning, logistics, and bond operations for smooth factory operations.
  • Lead S&OP process to align order bookings, production capacity, and raw material availability.
  • Ensure readiness for peak seasons and buyer delivery commitments.
  • Source raw materials such as packaging, chemicals and other accessories (local & import).
  • Develop alternative sourcing to reduce dependency and mitigate supply risks.
  • Lead price negotiations ensuring cost competitiveness for export pricing.
  • Maintain approved vendor lists in line with buyer compliance requirements.
  • Lead demand planning, supply planning, production planning functions.
  • Ensure forecast accuracy and proper line loading to meet shipment deadlines.
  • Coordinate with marketing and production teams for order execution.
  • Optimize inventory to avoid excess stock and shortages.
  • Manage inbound logistics (raw materials) and outbound logistics (finished goods).
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and shipping lines.
  • Oversee all bonded warehouse operations as per Bangladesh Customs Bond Commissionerate rules.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of bond registers (e.g., UP, UD, consumption, stock).
  • Monitor duty-free import of raw materials against export orders.
  • Ensure timely submission of bond-related documents and audit compliance.
  • Coordinate with C&F agents for customs clearance and documentation.
  • Handle VAT, duty, HS code classification, and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with BGMEA/BKMEA, Bangladesh Labor Law, and buyer Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain documentation for internal and external audits (customs, buyers, regulatory bodies).
  • Implement ethical sourcing and sustainability practices.
  • Control overall SCM cost including procurement, logistics, and import expenses.
  • Optimize freight, duty, and inventory holding costs.
  • Identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and delivery.
  • Identify risks related to shipment delays, port congestion, supplier failure, and regulatory changes.
  • Develop contingency plans (alternate suppliers, buffer stock, routing options).
  • Implement ERP systems for integrated SCM (procurement, planning, bond, inventory).
  • Digitize bond and customs documentation where possible.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, waste reduction).
  • Lead teams across Procurement, Planning, Logistics, and Import & Bond.
  • Develop second-line leadership and functional expertise.
  • Set KPIs and conduct performance reviews.


Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering


Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience


Additional Requirements:

  • Strong background in the textile industry is preferred; however, candidates from non-textile industries may also be considered if they demonstrate strong suitability for the role.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP and/or Oracle, is preferred
