The Role

Would you like to lead quality and technical standards for one of Pentex’s largest manufacturing hubs? As Head of Quality & Technical based in Dhaka, you’ll take full ownership of quality across our Bangladesh supplier base – shaping technical strategy, building and developing a strong team of Garment and Fabric Technicians and QAs, as well as working closely with our UK Technical team to make sure every garment we ship meets Pentex’s high standards for quality and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

• Successfully lead and continuously develop a large team based in Bangladesh.
• Set and uphold the professional standards of work and decision-making expected across the Quality & Technical function.
• Partner closely with other departments across the business such as Garment Tech, Fabric, Development and Compliance, etc. to deliver the best possible outcome for quality, design and speed.
• Liaise regularly with the Head of Technical in the UK, flagging issues as they arise and agreeing solutions together.
• Lead and manage a large team, building a culture of continuous development and progression.
• Oversee quality across 5+ suppliers and our in-house sample room, spanning Woven, Jersey and Knitwear, wash, embroidery and print.
• Maintain deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, and develop and implement a best-in-class Quality Management System.
• Build strong working relationships with garment manufacturers, our fabric team, fabric suppliers, laundries and other Tier 2 partners.
• Establish and maintain robust working procedures with every factory and supplier, ensuring full and consistent compliance with SOP requirements.
• Deliver training to garment manufacturers on required procedures and standards, and continuously upskill in-house Garment/Fabric Techs and QAs.
• Conduct Technical Audit evaluations on current and prospective factories, setting Corrective Action Plans where needed and following up with the Code of Practice team.

Your Experience

• Strong track record of leading, coaching, mentoring and developing large teams across multiple sites and functions.
• 15+ years’ experience in QA within a high-volume garment or apparel manufacturing company, including senior leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience working with manufacturers, with deep technical knowledge of pattern-making, garment construction, fabric and wash.
• Proven ability to build, implement and embed robust Quality Management Systems, underpinned by strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing a multi-site, multi-country supplier base – including factories, fabric suppliers and laundries – and holding partners to account through audits and Corrective Action Plans.
• Confident navigating business systems, and comfortable using data to inform quality and performance decisions.
• A natural collaborator who enjoys developing people and building strong team performance.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work cross-functionally and represent Quality & Technical at every level, including with senior stakeholders in the UK.
• A professional with a strong work ethic – reliable, flexible, and confident leading a fast-paced team under pressure.
