C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located at Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited. As the designated O&M Contractor, the company is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the power plant following its Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Job Purpose
The Head of Performance will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the operational performance of the 2 × 660 MW Supercritical Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant. The incumbent will lead performance improvement initiatives, identify efficiency gaps, and implement strategies to maximize plant availability, reliability, heat rate performance, fuel efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Performance Management
- Monitor and evaluate overall plant performance against established operational and contractual targets.
- Analyze plant efficiency, heat rate, auxiliary power consumption, generation output, and equipment performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and plant reliability.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operational excellence.
Performance Analysis & Optimization
- Conduct detailed performance analysis of boilers, turbines, generators, and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.
- Identify performance losses, inefficiencies, and operational bottlenecks.
- Recommend corrective actions and optimization measures to improve plant performance.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring operational and performance issues.
Energy Efficiency & Cost Optimization
- Monitor fuel consumption and combustion efficiency to ensure optimal plant operation.
- Identify opportunities for reducing auxiliary power consumption and operating costs.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving thermal efficiency and reducing operational losses.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of plant improvement projects and recommend enhancements.
Data Management & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports.
- Develop performance dashboards and trend analysis reports for management review.
- Generate accurate operational data and benchmark performance against industry standards.
- Present recommendations and action plans to senior management.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, and Engineering teams to achieve performance targets.
- Support outage planning and maintenance activities through performance assessments.
- Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, and contractors regarding performance-related matters.
- Ensure effective implementation of performance improvement programs.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and applicable industry standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Participate in technical audits, inspections, and performance reviews.
- Support implementation of best practices in supercritical thermal power plant performance management.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Candidates with a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and extensive relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in O&M services of coal-based thermal power plants.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in plant performance management of a 660 MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant Unit.
- Strong experience in performance monitoring, efficiency analysis, operational optimization, and KPI management.
- Hands-on knowledge of thermal performance testing and plant performance evaluation techniques.
Required Competencies
- Strong understanding of supercritical coal-fired power plant technology and performance parameters.
- Expertise in heat rate analysis, efficiency calculations, energy management, and performance benchmarking.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in performance monitoring software and reporting systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve performance targets.
Compensation & Benefits
Monthly Salary Package
- Basic Salary: BDT 2,55,000/-
- Other Allowances: BDT 45,000/-
- Total Gross Salary: BDT 3,00,000/- per month
