C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located at Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited. As the designated O&M Contractor, the company is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the power plant following its Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Job Purpose

The Head of Operations will be responsible for managing and supervising the operational activities of the 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant. The incumbent will ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous power generation while maintaining compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the power plant to ensure uninterrupted generation.
• Monitor and control plant operating parameters to achieve optimum efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to approved operating procedures, technical guidelines, and OEM recommendations.
• Coordinate startup, shutdown, and load management activities.

Operational Performance Management

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including plant availability, reliability, efficiency, heat rate, and auxiliary power consumption.
• Identify operational improvements and implement performance optimization initiatives.
• Analyze plant operational data and recommend corrective actions.

Safety, Health & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure compliance with all HSE policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all operational teams.
• Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and supervise control room operators, shift engineers, and operations personnel.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to team members.
• Ensure effective manpower utilization and shift management.

Coordination and Communication

• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and support departments to ensure smooth plant operation.
• Support planning and execution of outage activities and major maintenance programs.
• Liaise with plant management and stakeholders regarding operational issues and improvement initiatives.

Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Present operational performance data and recommendations to senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of plant performance and operational events.
