C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located at Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited. As the designated O&M Contractor, the company is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the power plant following its Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Job Purpose

The Head of Maintenance will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising all mechanical maintenance activities of the 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant. The incumbent will ensure maximum equipment reliability, availability, and operational efficiency through effective preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Management

• Lead and oversee all mechanical maintenance activities across the power plant.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure optimum availability and reliability of plant equipment and systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Establish maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize plant availability.

Equipment Reliability & Asset Management

• Manage maintenance activities related to boilers, turbines, generators, coal handling systems, ash handling systems, pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, and other critical equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure proper maintenance documentation and asset management practices.
• Monitor equipment condition through reliability-centered maintenance techniques.

Shutdown & Overhaul Management

• Plan and coordinate annual shutdowns, outages, and major overhauls.
• Ensure timely execution of maintenance schedules within approved budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient shutdown activities.
• Supervise contractors and vendors involved in maintenance projects.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the maintenance organization.
• Conduct maintenance safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ensure safe work practices during all maintenance activities.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, motivate, and develop maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Identify training needs and support employee development initiatives.
• Ensure effective manpower planning and resource allocation.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and a performance-driven work environment.

Budget & Resource Management

• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets and expenditure plans.
• Optimize maintenance costs without compromising safety and reliability.
• Ensure effective inventory management of spare parts, tools, and maintenance resources.
• Coordinate procurement requirements for critical maintenance materials and equipment.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare maintenance performance reports and KPI analyses.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs including equipment availability, reliability, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and HSE departments.
• Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
