- Lead and manage the overall Knitting Department, ensuring smooth and efficient production operations.
- Take full responsibility for producing all types of Circular Knitted Fabrics according to buyer requirements, specifications and quality standards.
- Plan and monitor knitting production based on production schedules, fabric requirements and delivery deadlines.
- Handle different types of circular knitting machines, fabrics, yarns, gauges, structures and fabric constructions.
- Ensure proper machine setting, knitting parameters, GSM, stitch length, loop length and fabric specifications.
- Develop and implement effective production plans to achieve optimum machine utilization and production targets.
- Monitor fabric quality and ensure compliance with required GSM, width, shrinkage, appearance, construction and other quality parameters.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Dyeing, Quality, Merchandising, Maintenance and Store departments for smooth workflow.
- Identify and resolve knitting-related technical problems, machine faults and production bottlenecks.
- Minimize fabric defects, wastage, machine downtime and production losses.
- Ensure proper preventive maintenance and timely servicing of knitting machines in coordination with the Maintenance Department.
- Monitor yarn consumption, fabric yield and production efficiency to control costs.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for knitting operations.
- Lead, motivate and develop knitting supervisors, technicians, operators and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety requirements and applicable compliance standards.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly production and performance reports.
- Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure timely production of quality fabric while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the management.
