C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located at Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited.

As the designated O&M Contractor, C&H Power Management Company Limited is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the power plant following its Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Job Purpose

The Head of Boiler will be responsible for leading and managing all boiler maintenance activities of the 2 × 660 MW Supercritical Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant. The incumbent will ensure optimum reliability, availability, efficiency, and safe operation of boiler systems and associated auxiliaries through effective maintenance planning, execution, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Boiler Maintenance Management

• Lead and manage all preventive, predictive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance activities of boiler systems.
• Ensure maximum reliability and availability of supercritical boiler units and associated equipment.
• Develop maintenance strategies to minimize forced outages and improve equipment performance.
• Monitor boiler equipment health and implement corrective actions to prevent failures.

Boiler System Reliability

• Oversee maintenance of boiler pressure parts, water walls, superheaters, reheaters, economizers, air preheaters, soot blowers, burners, ducts, dampers, and associated auxiliaries.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for boiler-related failures and implement long-term solutions.
• Identify reliability improvement opportunities and implement best maintenance practices.
• Ensure compliance with OEM recommendations and maintenance standards.

Outage & Shutdown Management

• Plan and execute annual shutdowns, inspections, overhauls, and major maintenance activities.
• Coordinate boiler outage schedules with operations and engineering departments.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed within approved timelines and budgets.
• Supervise contractors, vendors, and service providers during major repair and overhaul works.

Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with all HSE policies, statutory regulations, and company procedures.
• Promote a proactive safety culture within the boiler maintenance team.
• Conduct safety reviews, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ensure safe execution of maintenance activities under all operating conditions.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, train, mentor, and develop boiler maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Allocate resources effectively to achieve maintenance targets.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training requirements.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous professional development.

Planning & Budget Management

• Prepare annual maintenance plans, budgets, and resource forecasts.
• Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Ensure proper inventory management of boiler-related spare parts and consumables.
• Support procurement and vendor management activities for critical maintenance requirements.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor key maintenance KPIs such as equipment availability, reliability, MTBF, MTTR, and outage performance.
• Prepare periodic maintenance reports and presentations for management review.
• Analyze maintenance trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
