C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located at Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited.

As the designated O&M Contractor, C&H Power Management Company Limited is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the power plant following its Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Job Purpose

The Head of AHP & CHP will be responsible for leading and managing all operation, maintenance, reliability, and performance activities related to the Coal Handling Plant (CHP) and Ash Handling Plant (AHP) of the 2 × 660 MW Supercritical Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant. The incumbent will ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted coal handling and ash disposal operations while maximizing equipment availability and maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Coal Handling Plant (CHP) Management

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Coal Handling Plant, including crushers, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, feeders, transfer points, and associated auxiliary systems.
• Ensure uninterrupted coal supply to boilers to support continuous power generation.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement strategies to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Coordinate coal receipt, storage, stacking, reclaiming, and feeding operations.

Ash Handling Plant (AHP) Management

• Manage all fly ash and bottom ash handling systems, including ash conveying, storage, disposal, and utilization facilities.
• Ensure efficient and environmentally compliant ash evacuation and disposal operations.
• Monitor ash handling equipment performance and optimize operating parameters.
• Coordinate ash management activities in accordance with environmental regulations and company requirements.

Maintenance & Reliability

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for CHP and AHP equipment.
• Develop maintenance schedules to maximize equipment availability and reduce downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Drive reliability improvement initiatives for critical systems and equipment.

Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture across CHP and AHP teams.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations.
• Ensure environmental compliance related to coal handling, dust suppression, ash management, and waste disposal.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and supervise engineers, supervisors, operators, and technicians working in CHP and AHP sections.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to departmental personnel.
• Ensure effective manpower planning and performance management.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Planning & Resource Management

• Prepare annual maintenance plans, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Manage spare parts inventory, vendor support, and procurement requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and HSE departments to achieve plant objectives.
• Support shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance projects.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor departmental KPIs including equipment availability, reliability, maintenance costs, and operational efficiency.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports for management review.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational optimization.
• Present performance updates and recommendations to senior management.
