About The Role
Blue Ocean Digital is looking for a creative and technically skilled Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer to join our team.
You will be responsible for transforming ideas, scripts, and raw footage into compelling visual stories for YouTube, social media, digital advertising, corporate communications, and other digital platforms.
The ideal candidate has a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, typography, composition, and visual design, along with a solid understanding of professional post-production workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Video Editing: Assemble raw footage, edit sound, and insert dialogue, music, and sound effects to create polished, narrative-driven videos.
- Motion Graphics & Animation: Design and animate 2D (and optionally 3D) motion graphics, typography, lower thirds, logos, and visual effects to elevate video content.
- Storyboarding & Conceptualization: Collaborate with the creative team to develop visual concepts, storyboards, and mood boards before production.
- Color Correction & Audio Mixing: Ensure all final videos meet high-quality standards by performing essential color grading and audio sweetening.
- Asset Management: Organize, log, and archive raw footage, project files, and final renders under our file management system.
- Platform Optimization: Format and export videos in various aspect ratios and codecs optimized for specific channels (e.g., 9:16 for Reels, 16:9 for YouTube).
- Trend Monitoring: Stay current with industry trends, social media formats, and new post-production techniques to keep our content fresh and engaging.
- Experience: 3 years
- Education: bachelor of fine arts in art history
- Skills: motion graphic design, video editing, creative services, video production, content creation & digital media, motion design, multimedia design
