Role Description: The General Physician Consultant will provide on-site clinical services at Human Safety Foundation facilities and outreach locations in Manikganj on a contract basis. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, diagnosing common medical conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments, and maintaining accurate medical records. The consultant will participate in free health camps, support health awareness initiatives, and offer guidance on preventive care and management of chronic diseases. The role also involves collaborating with community workers and program staff, contributing to health education materials, and referring patients to specialized care when necessary. The consultant is expected to uphold ethical medical practice and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of underprivileged populations.

Qualifications

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid license/registration to practice as a physician.
• Clinical experience in primary care or community health, preferably with underprivileged or rural populations.
• Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and patient counseling skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Manikganj and participate in outreach health camps and community visits.
• Commitment to public health, health education, and preventive medicine, including awareness of HIV/AIDS and other serious diseases.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with diverse community members, including women, children, elderly, and persons with disabilities.
• Experience collaborating with NGOs or social welfare organizations is an advantage.
• Fluency in local languages and basic proficiency in English are desirable.
