Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field

  • Master’s degree (MBA) in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Hospitality Management will be highly preferred

Additional Certifications (Preferred):

  • Digital Marketing Certifications (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, SEO/SEM Certification)

  • Training or certification in Sales Leadership, Revenue Management, or Brand Management

 

Experience Requirements

  • Total experience: 8–12 years

  • Industry experience: Hotel / Travel Agency

  • 3–5+ years of experience in a leadership role within the Hospitality Industry

Position Overview

Hotel Grand Park Barishal is seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager – Sales & Marketing to lead all Sales, Branding, and Digital Marketing functions. The role requires a forward-thinking leader who understands hospitality trends, customer behaviour, and digital ecosystems.

The selected candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening the brand’s market positioning, and managing high-performing marketing initiatives across both traditional and digital platforms.

 

Key Objectives

  • Lead and execute the overall Sales & Marketing strategy

  • Oversee Digital Marketing operations including SEO, SEM, Social Media, PPC, Email Marketing, and Analytics

  • Ensure consistent brand identity across all marketing channels

  • Develop and manage a strategic content and campaign calendar

  • Analyze marketing performance and maximize campaign ROI

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Market Development

  • Develop annual Sales & Marketing plans aligned with revenue targets and KPIs

  • Identify new market opportunities through market analysis

  • Manage key corporate accounts and long-term client relationships

  • Conduct site inspections and client engagement activities

  • Coordinate with Operations, F&B, and other departments on promotional strategies

  • Ensure effective hotel branding and promotional materials

 

Digital Marketing Leadership

  • Oversee content creation for social media, website, and email campaigns

  • Monitor digital trends and implement innovative marketing strategies

  • Conduct audience and consumer behaviour analysis

  • Optimize SEO and SEM performance to increase online visibility

  • Manage digital marketing budgets, analytics, and ROI reporting

  • Lead campaign planning, execution, A/B testing, and performance analysis

 

Revenue & Performance Management

Support revenue targets across:

Rooms Revenue

  • RPAR: +20%

  • ADR: +20%

  • ARR: +20%

 

F&B Revenue

  • ACP: +25%

  • Incremental Revenue: +25%

  • Contribution Margin: +25%

 

Minor Operating Departments

  • Revenue improvement target: +25%

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining client correspondence, proposals, and contracts

  • Preparing weekly Sales & Marketing performance reports for management

 

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Sales & Marketing team

  • Conduct weekly team meetings and KPI reviews

  • Strengthen collaboration between departments
