Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at The Galleria in Chattogram, Bangladesh. This role oversees day-to-day operations across the property, ensuring smooth functioning of all departments, including facilities, tenant relations, customer services, security, and maintenance. The General Manager will manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to increase foot traffic, tenant satisfaction, and overall profitability. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring staff, setting operational standards, coordinating with vendors and partners, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety requirements. The General Manager will also support marketing and event initiatives, analyze performance data, and continuously improve guest experience and property efficiency.
Qualifications

• Proven experience in property, retail, hospitality, or commercial center management, with strong operational oversight and leadership abilities.
• Skills in budgeting, financial analysis, and performance monitoring to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
• Strong people management skills, including team leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and stakeholder relationship management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple departments and projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of facilities management, safety standards, and local regulatory requirements in Bangladesh.
• Experience in customer service and guest experience enhancement within a high-footfall environment.
• Ability to develop and implement operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work extended hours as required.
• Prior experience in the Bangladesh market or similar regional context is preferred.
