Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, responsible for overseeing overall operations, strategy, and performance of CML’s consolidation and logistics services. This position leads and manages cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient supply chain processes, high service quality, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards. The General Manager will monitor key performance indicators, optimize operational workflows, and implement process improvements to drive profitability and customer satisfaction. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing budgets, coordinating with clients and partners, resolving escalated issues, and aligning local operations with the company’s global strategy and sustainability goals. The role also involves talent development, fostering a culture of integrity and innovation, and representing the company in key business and industry engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in guiding cross-functional teams and fostering collaborative work environments.
• Expertise in logistics, supply chain management, and consolidation services, including operations planning, process optimization, and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency in strategic planning, business development, and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Ability to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships, with excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of customs, regulatory compliance, and international trade practices relevant to logistics and transportation.
• Familiarity with logistics technologies and data-driven decision-making tools to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPL) are an advantage.
• Several years of progressive management experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain environments, preferably in a leadership role.
• Ability to work on-site in Dhaka and manage complex, fast-paced operations with a high level of integrity and accountability.
