Garment Technologist

Role Description The Garment Technologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Gazipur, responsible for ensuring that garments meet quality, fit, and construction standards throughout the production process. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing technical specifications, patterns, and size measurements, and working closely with design, production, and quality teams to resolve technical issues. The role involves conducting sample evaluations, overseeing fittings, identifying potential production challenges, and recommending technical solutions to improve efficiency and consistency. The Garment Technologist also collaborates with suppliers and internal teams to ensure fabric and trims meet performance requirements and compliance standards.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Garment Construction, including pattern understanding, sewing methods, and production techniques.
• Proficiency in Quality Control, with experience in inspection procedures, defect analysis, and corrective actions.
• Expertise in Fitting, including measurement checks, size specifications, and fit approvals.
• Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, performance, and suitability for different garment types.
• Effective Communication skills to collaborate with design, production, suppliers, and quality teams.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Garment Technology, Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• Experience in knitwear manufacturing or similar apparel production environments is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Gazipur, manage multiple tasks, and meet production timelines.
