Role Description The Garment Sewing Technician and Sample Maker will be responsible for sewing, assembling, and finishing garment samples according to technical specifications, patterns, and design requirements. Day-to-day tasks include operating industrial sewing machines, cutting fabric pieces, following pattern instructions, and ensuring accurate construction and fit of sample garments. The role also involves collaborating with designers and production staff to refine samples, identifying construction issues, and suggesting improvements for manufacturability and quality. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized workstation, performing basic machine maintenance, and checking samples for defects and consistency. This is a full-time on-site role located in Chattogram.
Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in garment construction, including sewing, cutting, pressing, and finishing sample garments.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting patterns, technical packs, and measurement specifications.
• Experience operating common industrial sewing machines (e.g., lockstitch, overlock, coverstitch) and handling different fabric types.
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify fit, stitch, and construction issues and make precise adjustments.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, pattern-making, and production teams.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines, maintain equipment, and keep an organized, efficient work area.
• Prior experience in sample making or garment production in a factory or studio environment is strongly preferred.
• Basic education with vocational training in garment technology, textiles, or related field is an advantage.
