- Ensure full compliance with Fire Service & Civil Defense requirements, Bangladesh Labour Act, Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) and buyer Codes of Conduct.
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections throughout the factory, warehouse, utility buildings, and office areas.
- Monitor the condition and functionality of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, fire alarm systems, emergency lights, exit signage and fire doors.
- Organize and conduct monthly fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
- Develop, review, and update Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and fire evacuation procedures.
- Train employees, Fire Fighting Teams, Search & Rescue Teams, First Aid Teams, and Floor Wardens on fire prevention, earthquake and emergency response.
- Maintain all fire safety records, inspection reports, drill reports, training records, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate inspections and licensing activities with Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defense.
- Support buyer social compliance audits, including Betterwork, BSCI, SEDEX, ICS, Primark, H&M, Inditex, Kmart, Target, and other customer audits.
- Investigate fire incidents and near misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure emergency exits, evacuation routes, assembly points, and firefighting equipment remain unobstructed and operational.
- Experience: 3 to 7 years
- Education: diploma in civil engineering
