Trouser Line Ltd. is looking for a responsible and experienced Fire Safety Officer to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant working environment within our garments manufacturing facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing fire safety procedures, conducting inspections and drills, managing emergency responses, and ensuring compliance with applicable fire safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper implementation of fire safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans throughout the factory.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, emergency exits, and other fire protection equipment.
- Monitor fire safety conditions across production floors, warehouses, utility areas, electrical rooms, and other high-risk areas.
- Conduct regular fire drills, evacuation drills, and fire safety training for workers and employees.
- Ensure emergency exits, escape routes, stairways, and assembly points remain accessible and properly maintained.
- Identify fire and life-safety hazards and take necessary corrective and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections, drills, training, equipment checks, and fire-related incidents.
- Coordinate with Management, Safety/EHS, Security, and relevant authorities when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety regulations, factory requirements, buyer standards, and audit requirements.
- Respond promptly to fire emergencies and effectively coordinate evacuation and emergency response activities.
- Conduct toolbox talks and awareness sessions on fire prevention and emergency procedures.
- Perform any other fire safety-related duties assigned by management.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the RMG/Garments or Manufacturing sector.
- Must have completed at least 6 months of training from Fire Service & Civil Defence.
- Practical knowledge of fire prevention, firefighting systems, emergency evacuation, and fire safety procedures.
- Experience in conducting fire drills, evacuation procedures, and fire safety training will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of factory fire safety practices and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond appropriately during emergency situations.
- Strong communication, observation, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Candidates with experience in garments factory fire safety compliance will be given preference.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years
- Education: 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the RMG/Garments or Manufacturing sector
- Skills: Fire Safety, Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting, Emergency Response, Fire Risk Assessment, Emergency Evacuation, Fire safety inspections, Fire safety training, Fire drills, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
