Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fire Safety Officer based in Dhaka. The Fire Safety Officer will oversee fire prevention measures, monitor fire safety equipment, and ensure that emergency exits, alarm systems, and firefighting tools are maintained and compliant with relevant regulations. Daily responsibilities include conducting regular fire risk assessments, inspections, and drills, keeping accurate records, and preparing reports on safety findings and corrective actions. The role involves delivering fire safety training to employees, coordinating emergency response procedures, and collaborating with management and other safety personnel to improve overall workplace safety. The Fire Safety Officer will also liaise with external regulatory bodies or inspectors when required and support continuous enhancement of health, safety, and security practices within the facility.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices, including relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
• Practical experience in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Skills in Security and fire risk management, including monitoring access, emergency routes, and firefighting equipment.
• Ability to design and deliver Safety Training, fire drills, and awareness programs for diverse employee groups.
• Relevant certification or diploma in occupational health and safety, fire safety, or a related field; professional safety credentials are an advantage.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in garments or textiles, with familiarity in local compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and readiness to respond effectively in emergency situations.
