Fashion Designer

Major duties and responsibilities:

• Research global fashion trends, seasonal directions, colors, silhouettes, textures and emerging knitwear developments.
• Develop seasonal trend boards, mood boards, color palettes and design concepts.
• Develop and recommend suitable knit fabrics based on design requirements, end-use and buyer specifications.
• Analyze buyer-provided fabric swatches, including fabric type, CAM & needle arrangement, yarn count, fabric composition, gauge, GSM, Stitch length (SL), and yarn properties.
• Review fabric swatches and assess appearance, hand feel, stretch, recovery and suitability for garment construction.
• Coordinate with pattern, sample and production teams to convert concepts into accurate prototypes, samples and resolve design-related issues during sample and production stages.
• Ensure designs meet buyer requirements, target price, quality standards and production timelines.

Work Station: Factory at Zamirdia, Bhaluka, Mymensingh.

Pre-requisite to apply:

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Fashion Design from any public/ reputed private university.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field (knit industry).
