Role Description The Fabrics Merchandiser is a full-time, on-site role based in Chattogram. This role is responsible for coordinating fabric sourcing, sampling, and approvals, while maintaining regular communication with suppliers, buyers, and internal production teams. Day-to-day tasks include tracking orders, monitoring fabric quality and specifications, negotiating prices and delivery schedules, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports. The Fabrics Merchandiser also supports sales and marketing activities by providing fabric information, preparing presentations, and assisting with customer meetings and factory visits. The role requires close collaboration with retail and production teams to ensure that fabric choices align with design, cost, and timeline requirements.
Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Customer Service to manage inquiries, build long-term relationships, and provide timely support.
• Experience in Sales and Retail, preferably within the apparel or textiles sector.
• Knowledge of Marketing principles to support product positioning, presentations, and buyer engagement.
• Understanding of fabric types, denim finishing, and textile production processes.
• Ability to manage multiple orders, maintain detailed records, and meet strict deadlines.
• Comfort with basic computer applications and ERP or merchandising software.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in fabric merchandising or apparel sourcing will be considered an advantage.
