Role Description The Executive VAT role is a full-time, on-site position based in Savar Upazila. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day VAT activities, including preparing VAT returns, maintaining VAT-related records, and ensuring timely submission to relevant authorities. The Executive VAT will monitor changes in VAT regulations, support internal audits, and help implement compliant processes and documentation practices. The role includes coordinating with finance and procurement teams, verifying tax invoices and supporting documents, and responding to VAT-related queries from internal stakeholders and external agencies. The Executive VAT will also support improvements in tax reporting systems and assist in training relevant staff on VAT procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of VAT laws, rules, and regulations, with practical experience in VAT calculation, documentation, and return filing.
• Proficiency in accounting principles and financial record-keeping, including experience working with accounting or ERP software.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to review large volumes of financial data for accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, procurement, and other internal teams.
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple VAT and tax-related activities in a structured manner.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional tax or accounting certifications are an advantage.
• Previous experience in a similar VAT or tax-focused role, preferably within a corporate or manufacturing environment.
