Job Title: Executive – Industrial Engineering (IE)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineering Executive to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving line efficiency, productivity, and workflow through work study, time study, and process optimization techniques in a knitwear/apparel manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct time and motion study for existing and new styles
• Prepare SMV (Standard Minute Value) and set target/efficiency for each line
• Develop and update operation bulletins (OB) and line layout planning
• Monitor line balancing, workflow, and machine allocation to reduce bottlenecks
• Analyze production data to identify efficiency loss and recommend corrective actions
• Conduct capacity study and manpower planning for new orders
• Work closely with production, planning, and quality teams to improve overall productivity
• Implement lean manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S, GSD/MTM where applicable)
• Prepare daily/weekly IE reports (efficiency, productivity, DHU-linked analysis if required)
• Train and guide production supervisors and line staff on IE-related KPIs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial & Production Engineering, Textile Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in IE department of a knit/woven garment manufacturing company
• Strong knowledge of SMV calculation, line balancing, GSD/MTM (preferred)
• Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of IE software is a plus
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication and leadership skills to work with production floor staff
