The Executive – EHS will support the implementation and monitoring of Environment, Health & Safety requirements across factory operations. The role will focus on workplace inspections, hazard identification, risk control, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, environmental monitoring, EHS training, compliance documentation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of site EHS plans, objectives, KPIs, and improvement initiatives.
- Conduct routine workplace inspections and identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Support risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) controls.
- Monitor compliance with EHS laws, permits, standards, and company procedures.
- Record and investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe observations, and first-aid cases.
- Monitor PPE, machine guarding, LOTO, chemical handling, housekeeping, and safe work practices.
- Support environmental monitoring, including waste, emissions, effluent, noise, and spills.
- Inspect firefighting equipment, emergency exits, alarm systems, and emergency routes.
- Coordinate EHS induction, toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and refresher training.
- Maintain EHS records, dashboards, reports, compliance trackers, and corrective-action follow-ups.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, HR, Security, Stores, and contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Professional certification in occupational safety, fire safety, first aid, or ISO 14001/ISO 45001 awareness will be preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing, battery, chemical, automotive, or other industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, environmental compliance, fire safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Practical knowledge of risk assessment, JSA, PTW, and incident reporting.
- Strong inspection, hazard identification, documentation, reporting, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS reporting/tracking tools.
- Strong communication skills in Bengali and English.
- Willingness to work on the factory floor and support emergency or shift-based requirements when needed.
- High integrity, discipline, ownership, and attention to detail.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field., Professional certification in occupational safety, fire safety, first aid, or ISO 14001/ISO 45001 awareness will be preferred.
