- Supervise the mechanical maintenance of unloading, packing, and grinding equipment.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently to achieve production targets.
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance to minimise unexpected machine breakdowns.
- Attend breakdowns promptly and ensure quick restoration of equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify mechanical problems before they become major issues.
- Monitor equipment performance and vibration levels to improve machine reliability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and implement effective corrective actions.
- Reduce equipment downtime through timely maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, equipment history, and spare parts usage.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance reports.
- Monitor and maintain the required stock of mechanical spare parts to avoid production delays.
- Supervise technicians and contractors to ensure maintenance work is completed safely and according to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and good housekeeping practices.
- Coordinate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities with minimum disruption to operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and maintenance efficiency.
- Experience: At least 6 years
- Education: bachelor of science in mechanical engineering
- Skills: mechanical maintenance, maintenance engineering, equipment maintenance, machine maintenance, plant maintenance, knowledge of maintenance procedures, maintenance planning, facilities maintenance, facility maintenance
