Electrical Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Electrical Engineer will design, review, and optimize electrical systems for elevator and escalator installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations. Daily responsibilities include preparing electrical layouts and schematics, calculating load requirements, and coordinating power distribution and control systems for new and existing elevator projects. The role involves collaborating with mechanical engineers, project managers, and installation teams to resolve technical issues, perform site inspections, and support commissioning and testing activities. The Electrical Engineer will also assist in troubleshooting electrical faults, maintaining documentation, and recommending improvements for system performance and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and a solid understanding of Electricity fundamentals.
• Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design, including creating schematics, layouts, and control circuits for elevator systems.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Power Distribution, including panel design, cable sizing, and coordination with building power infrastructure.
• Candidates should possess experience with Power Systems, including load analysis, protection devices, and safety standards for low- and medium-voltage systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in building services, industrial automation, or elevator/escalator projects is highly beneficial.
• Ability to read technical drawings, use relevant engineering software (e.g., CAD tools), and prepare clear technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
• Familiarity with relevant international and local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Bengali and/or Chinese is an advantage.
