Distribution Manager

Role Description The Distribution Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day distribution operations, including planning routes, managing inventory flows, coordinating warehouse activities, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers and partners. The Distribution Manager will supervise distribution and logistics staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and support a safe and efficient working environment. The role includes tracking key operational metrics, resolving distribution issues, and optimizing processes to reduce costs and improve service levels. The Distribution Manager will collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance teams to align distribution plans with business needs, manage relationships with transport providers, and maintain compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in distribution, logistics, and supply chain management, with experience coordinating warehouse and transportation activities.
• Proficiency in inventory control, route planning, and scheduling, with the ability to optimize resources and reduce operational bottlenecks.
• Capability to use basic business software and distribution-related systems (e.g., spreadsheets, inventory or ERP tools) for tracking and reporting.
• Demonstrated people management and leadership skills, including team supervision, performance monitoring, and coaching.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous process improvement.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Understanding of safety, compliance, and quality standards relevant to warehouse and distribution operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent experience in distribution management may also be considered.
• Prior experience in a distribution, logistics, or warehouse management role in a fast-paced environment is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
