Deputy Manager-QA (Civil Engineering)

Role Description The Deputy Manager–QA (Civil Engineering) is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities across civil engineering and construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include implementing QA plans, monitoring compliance with project specifications, conducting inspections and audits, and ensuring materials and workmanship meet quality standards. The role collaborates with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve quality issues and prevent defects, rework, and delays. The Deputy Manager–QA will also prepare QA documentation, reports, and checklists, support continuous improvement initiatives, and provide guidance and training to project teams on QA processes and best practices. This position plays a key role in maintaining regulatory, safety, and company quality requirements throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong QA Engineering and Quality Assurance skills for civil engineering and construction projects.
• Candidates should possess experience in Quality Management, including developing, implementing, and monitoring quality standards and procedures.
• Candidates should possess Team Leadership abilities to guide site teams, coordinate QA activities, and promote a culture of quality.
• Candidates should possess understanding of Software Quality Assurance concepts where applicable to QA tools, documentation systems, or project management platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., QA/QC, ISO) are an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in building, infrastructure, or interior fit-out projects, preferably in a supervisory QA/QC role.
• Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, materials testing, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering/QA software; ability to prepare clear reports and documentation.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills; ability to work collaboratively on-site.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory workplace practices.
