- Management of Microbiology Laboratory Operations.
- Supervise/perform routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and environmental monitoring samples.
- Prepare/review test procedures, protocols, SOPs
- Plan and schedule laboratory work, allocate tasks, and manage team performance.
- Oversee environmental monitoring of cleanrooms, aseptic areas, and controlled zones.
- Monitor and coordinate sterility testing, endotoxin testing, microbial limit tests, and bioburden testing etc.
- Perform/Maintain, calibrate, and qualify microbiology laboratory equipment (incubators, autoclaves, Biosafety Cabinet, LAFs etc).
- Perform growth promotion test of microbiological media.
- Ensure effectiveness of sterilization and Depyrogenation process.
- Perform Evaluation of sanitizing agents and disinfectants used in cleaning and sanitizing of aseptic filling area.
- Train and mentor laboratory staff on microbiological methods, aseptic techniques, and safety procedures.
- Investigate and document OOS (Out of Specification), OOT (Out of Trend), deviations, and nonconformities related to microbiology.
- Represent the department during audits and Regulatory inspections as a subject matter expert.
- Contribute to continual improvement projects, validation activities, and new method development.
- Experience:
- Education: master of science in microbiology
- Skills: laboratory management, lab management, laboratory skills, laboratory procedures, laboratory techniques & procedures, microbiology, laboratory equipment operation, molecular microbiology
