Data Scientist, Information Technology

The Data Scientist bridges business data logic with technical delivery across data preparation, exploratory analysis, feature definition, predictive modeling, and reporting. Candidates with complementary skill sets - whether candidates strength lies in data analysis, Power BI, and stakeholder reporting or Python scripting, predictive AI modeling, and ML pipelines.

Functional Responsibilities

• Data Profiling & Requirements Mapping: Extract and clean high-volume banking datasets; translate business logic into enterprise data definitions and reusable feature logic.
• Diagnostic & Exploratory Analytics: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), trend diagnostics, and prescriptive analytics to uncover commercial growth opportunities and root-cause operational insights.
• Dashboards & Executive Storytelling: Design production-ready Power BI dashboards; deliver visual data stories and analytical walk-through for business leaders.
• Predictive AI Model Development: Design, train, and tune machine learning models using Python and quantitative techniques.
• Model Audit & Performance Validation: Conduct model evaluation, track performance metrics, and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate model outputs before deployment.
• MLOps & Pipeline Integration: Automate data workflows, versioning models/datasets, and packaging machine learning pipelines for deployment.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Statistics, Economics, Business or related degrees with 2+ years of relevant Data science, Machine Learning, BI, or analytics experience.

Technical & Behavioral Skill

• Technical Skills: Working proficiency in SQL to extract, transform, and join complex relational database tables for analysis and feature engineering. Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and modeling (Pandas, Scikit-learn). Hands-on experience with Power BI for developing interactive dashboards, calculated measures, and analytical reports.
• Communication & Ownership: Strong problem-solving initiative with the ability to communicate analytical findings and present data visuals clearly to business teams.
• Critical Thinking & Research Mindset: Analytical curiosity with a structured approach to problem framing, root-cause analysis, and researching novel techniques to solve complex business challenges.
